About the Author

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have been practicing psychotherapy for 15 years in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. My professional training includes a doctorate in social work from Rutgers The State University of New Jersey, a masters degree in Counseling and Clinical Health Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as a masters degree in Social Work from The University of Pennsylvania.

I have a private psychotherapy practice, with offices in Doylestown and Dublin, Pennsylvania. In addition to my private practice, I also work as the Program Coordinator for Cancer Support Community of Greater Philadelphia at the Doylestown Hospital satellite location. In this position I plan, coordinate, and implement the cancer support programs, such as support groups, individual counseling, educational lectures, physical exercise groups, creative arts workshops, Reiki and meditation.

My professional practice incorporates my educational as well as my post-graduate training in cognitive behavioral therapy, health psychology, mindfulness training, play therapy, and creative arts.  I teach patients mindfulness and cognitive strategies, as well as creative techniques for managing stress, anxiety, and depression.  I believe that within each individual lies the ability to heal and grow. Through creative arts therapies, supportive groups and counseling, we can encourage, support and stimulate individuals to begin to successfully care for their emotional health.
